What types of procedures are eligible for the study?

The three types of cases included CARES are tonsil removal or tonsillectomy, gallbladder removal or laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and knee arthroscopy. 

What if a lap cholecystectomy includes an intraoperative cholangiogram or common bile duct exploration? Can they still be eligible?

Yes, both intraoperative cholangiogram and common bile duct exploration may be included with lap cholecystectomy in CARES.

What if a participant is taking over-the-counter (non-prescription) NSAIDs?

If a participant is taking over-the-counter NSAIDs, it becomes an exclusion if they take the medication more than 8 days out of the last 30 days.
